Andrea Scobie was awarded a Canadian Institute of Health Research(CIHR) Doctoral Reseach Award.
Shanna Trenaman has been accepted into the CIHR Training Program in Bridging Scientific Domains for Drug Safety and Effectiveness (DSECT program) out of McMaster University. This program brings together biosciences, clinical therapeutics, population health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health services and policy research to better understand choosing, using, and losing medications within the context of medication safety and effectiveness. This program includes financial support for completion of a Master's Thesis.
Jill Duncan was awarded a fellowship though the Pharmaceutical Policy Research Collaboration (PPRC), whose members are leaders from Canada's research and policy communities. This program provides financial support to attend the 2011 CAHSPR Conference and two PPRC invitation-only meetings where fellows have the opportunity to present their research and participate in the unique knowledge translation activities of the PPRC.
